African Association Of Zoos + Aquaria
The African Association of Zoos and Aquaria (PAAZAB) was formed in 1989 at the National Zoological Gardens of South Africa, Pretoria, South Africa as an organization aimed at representing the interests of bona fide zoos and aquaria on the African continent. PAAZAB currently represents a total of 70 institutional, affiliate and associate members in 12 African countries.
The association upholds modern zoo best practice in the provision of supportive environments for the animals, personnel and public; active involvement in the maintenance of biodiversity; management for the wider benefit of the community and the provision of education opportunities for learning about animals and their environments.
PAAZAB sees one of the primary functions of zoos and aquariums as healing the relationship between man, animal and their mutual environment.
African Safaris And Travel
AfricanSafaris.Travel, (under the leadership of Louis van Tonder) has been actively involved in the safari industry since the late seventies. The thrill of sharing our beloved Africa is still as fresh and exciting as it was back then... We brought our safari businesses over to the U.S.A. in 1994 to share our dreams and adventures with travelers here and elsewhere abroad. This website, represents many years of designing, researching and operating safaris to the far-out corners of Africa. The fact that we are often in Africa personally, and have constant interaction with the companies we represent, allows us to remain vitally connected to the pulse of Africa - to her political, social and ecological realities.
AfricanSafaris.Travel actively supports the principle of developing of Africa's natural resources sustainably through low-density, high quality Tourism. "Environmentally intelligent" Tourism is nowhere such an important issue as in Africa. All safaris and safari programs have been developed in conjunction with the safari outfitters who are dedicated to conserving Africa's precious and unique resources. All the lodges and camps featured in our programs have been built with absolute minimal impact on the local fauna and flora, and all camps operate under the dictates of approved wildlife management.

Animal Aid - Bulgaria
We are a family with 2 children who moved to live in Bulgaria from the UK & we have lived here for 2 years. Since living here we noticed the terrible suffering of Bulgaria's stray street dogs. Homeless to live on the streets these dogs are at risk from all sorts of dangers, starvation, road accident, injury, & abuse from passers by.
We initially wanted to make a dog shelter but after our own rescue stray puppy fell ill with the deadly Parvo Virus, we spoke to our Vet and decided to change our plans. This is due to the lack of facilities at the small veterinarian surgeries in our town.
Currently the Vets have to travel too far and simply haven't the time to do this. There is no overnight facility for sick animals & this means that Pet owners have to make frequent trips back and forth to the surgery, this causes more stress to the animal, we hope to make a difference, we hope you would like to too!

Come back soon!
The Animal Rescue Organisation was established in 1986 specifically to address the plight of animals living in township and informal settlement communities around the Cape. Thousands of animals live in amongst the poorest community settlements and up until 1986 had limited access to welfare services. The result of this was untold suffering and rampant overbreeding of both dogs and cats.
So it is with great pride that Animal Rescue can now boast a successful hospital facility as well as the services of 3 Mobile Clinics manned by trained animal welfare assistants. Over 20 000 sick animals receive our care every year and from humble beginnings working from the back of cars, we now hold an essential part of the animal welfare sector in the Western Cape of South Africa.
The Animal Rescue Organisation and Hospital is open daily from 8h30 to 16h00 and is situated in Olieboom Road, Schaapkraal.

Animal communication forms a valuable bridge between human and non-human animals. Through creating this direct two-way channel of information exchange, we are able to increase the mutual understanding that exists between ourselves and other beings. Animal communication is natural within us all; we simply need to be reminded of how to use this universal language of telepathy. With this in mind, we begin to rekindle the relationship with our natural intuition and in turn remember our abilities to communicate with other species.
Join Anna on her eye-opening workshops, where you will learn practical techniques and use fun exercises to help you better understand your animal friends.
Anna Breytenbach is a South African-based professional animal communicator who has been practising for 12 years in South Africa, Europe and the USA with both domestic and wild animals.
We invite you to visit the AnimalSpirit website (www.animalspirit.org ) to learn more about Animal Communication and upcoming events.
